The collection includes a device that stores hearts in transit before surgery, a gaming headset that reads brain signals and facial expressions and a fire reconnaissance vehicle for bushfires. The exhibition explores Benini’s successful parternship with stylist Hazel Benini and the behind-the-scenes styling, crafting and designing responsible for the memorable and striking images he produced between the 1950s and 90s. 'SCALE PRACTICE' EXHIBITION21.Oct - 27.NovTwo Melbourne-based artists, Bridie Lunney and Meredith Turnbull explore the boundaries between jewellery and installation art. The Exhibition Scale Practice studies the body as a tool for intuiting space while also challenging common assumptions of display and the juncture between wearable and sculptural practices. STORIES THROUGH BARROWS EXHIBITION22.Oct - 27.NovTimothy McLeod, a Melbourne craft practioner with a passion for wood, tells the story of Malcolm MacLeod who spent ten years constructing a road with little more than hand tools and a wheelbarrow on the Heberidean Island of Raasay, Scotland. Drawing inspiration from Malcolm McLeod’s story and his own visit to the Isle, Timothy has created three handmade wooden wheelbarrows, each forming part of the narrative that is Malcolm’s life.
