The Life Outside Issue

Introducing the Life Outside issue of Habitus magazine. With life increasingly being absorbed into a digital space, there is never a more important moment to hold something tangible. In this context, the power of nature to have a physiological impact on our sense of wellbeing has never been more important. So how can we cultivate the benefits of the our natural environment in the most intimate of places – our homes? This was the question that helped to bring this issue of Habitus to life.

Velo Ceiling Fan by Spinifex Fans

Introducing the Velo Ceiling Fan from Spinifex Fans.

Designed by: Ron Rezek of the Modern Fan Company

I am: A ceiling fan with lighting option

About me:

The Velo ceiling fan has an elegant, contemporary feel, with simplicity of form matched with superior function.

Combining the latest materials with injection-moulded aerodynamic blade design, Velo provides efficient and quiet air movement by reducing turbulence.

Velo is weather and warp resistant, meaning a longer life and less maintenance.

There is the option for an integrated light where space restricts an alternative lighting source.

The fan’s designer, Ron Rezek brings years of experience in lighting design to the Velo light with a consistency of form, even light distribution and no unsightly hot spots so frequently associated with ceiling fan lights.

Materials:
•    Die cast aluminium housing
•    Injection moulded blades
•    Dual layer acid etched glass

Dimensions:
•    Blade diameter of 127cm
•    Suitable for ceilings as low as 2.4m
