The Life Outside Issue

Introducing the Life Outside issue of Habitus magazine. With life increasingly being absorbed into a digital space, there is never a more important moment to hold something tangible. In this context, the power of nature to have a physiological impact on our sense of wellbeing has never been more important. So how can we cultivate the benefits of the our natural environment in the most intimate of places – our homes? This was the question that helped to bring this issue of Habitus to life.

FLINT – Fine Dining

The FLINT table and bench family enjoy fine dining indoors just as much as a casual BBQ out in the elements.

Designed
By Ross Gardam.

Made
In Australia by Tait.

About
FLINT’s leg detail was inspired from the design principles of a lever and
explores the idea of supporting the table using its own stabilising
weight. The legs can also be easily removed and flat-packed for
transportation, making it a great option for outdoor eating. Designer, Ross Gardam’s has experience in many areas, including environmental, interior, retail and furniture design and his approach inspires products that are both contemporary and sustainable.

Materials
The FLINT tables and benches come with Australian Spotted Gum slatted tops for outdoor use while the indoor set is available in a variety of finishes including E0 vertically laminated birch from Eco Core. The leg detail is available in a selection of powder coat colours allowing the table and bench to inhabit a number of interiors and environments.

Dimensions
Tables are 900 wide in a choice of three lengths; 1800, 2100 and 2400mm with benches at 355mm wide in matching lengths.
