Stepping Out In Style: Streetsculptures

Swedish designer Maxjenny Forslund knows that as winter rain and chill set in, it takes a lot to coax us out of hibernation.

The new collection for her label MAXJENNY is called Streetsculptures, and aims to be just that – a series of wearable ‘sculptures’ that everyone wants to be seen stepping out in.

Forslund is inspired by how the body’s architecture works with the garment it wears. She creates dynamic pieces that interact with and respond to the body’s movement.

The construction is simple – basic shapes with minimum seams, black-lined with a zipped front.

Eyecatching geometric patterns are printed onto the fabric with waterbased colours, brightening up a winter day.

Streetsculptures are not just about style – they’re also about sustainability. Their light, waterproof fabric is fashioned from recycled plastic bottles.

Saving the environment has never looked this good.
