The Life Outside Issue

Introducing the Life Outside issue of Habitus magazine. With life increasingly being absorbed into a digital space, there is never a more important moment to hold something tangible. In this context, the power of nature to have a physiological impact on our sense of wellbeing has never been more important. So how can we cultivate the benefits of the our natural environment in the most intimate of places – our homes? This was the question that helped to bring this issue of Habitus to life.

Axor Launches A New Dimension Of Personalisation

Straight out of Salone del Mobile and straight into the kitchens and bathrooms of your dreams, Axor has officially launched MyEdition in Australia.

Premiered in Milan last year in celebration of Axor’s 25-year anniversary, Axor MyEdition is the result of the German tapware and accessories brand’s most recent collaboration with Pheonix Design. The product’s clean, linear design and customisable concept sets the stage for personal expression and creativity, allowing designers and end-clients alike to personalise their tapware with the finishes of their choice.

Last week, the luxe Axor MyEdition tapware range had its official debut as a product available to Design Hunters across Australia with a suitably sophisticated soirée at the Garden State Hotel in Melbourne. It was a night filled with cocktails, canapés, and creatives. Not to mention an impressive product collection.

Axor MyEdition taps consist of two product parts: body and plate. In addition to the four standard finishes – chrome with mirrored glass, chrome with black glass, satin black with black glass, and satin black with brushed bronze – the taps can also be tailor-made according to personal taste and design aesthetic. With sixteen Axor FinishPlus PVD surfaces to choose from, which can be combined with a selection of exclusive Axor Signature colours and materials such as metal, wood, marble, leather, and satin black, there are a total of 350 potential design configurations available.

The Garden State Hotel provided opulent surrounds for an extensive display of the Axor MyEdition range, providing an opportunity for guests to imagine the customisation potential and enjoy the sensuous experience of PowderRain. Emma Mahlook from Mim Design and Manuela Millan from Meanwhile in Melbourne joined KC Lee, Managing Director of Axor’s parent company, Hansgrohe, for an invigorating panel discussion on texture, trends, and innovation.

In case you missed it, here’s a recap of the night in pictures.
