The inspiration for the Grant collection comes from different sources: the ironic and slightly dandy style of Hollywood legend Cary and the military aplomb of heroic general Ulysses. There are also nods to equestrianism and the large luxury cars of the pre-war period. Grant encapsulates the pure masculine essence of a clean, understated and completely unostentatious elegance, evoking the nostalgia of a stylistic and existential golden age.
The Grant collection of poufs comprises seats of three sizes: a small 60×40 cm pouf entirely covered in Pelle Frau® leather, and two models, “A” and “B”, in different finishes, both available in the 110×110 and 140×80 cm size and decorated with two belts wrapped vertically around the frame of the pouf which disappear under the seat. At the base of the belts the steel buckles are an additional decorative element. The frame of the poufs and seats is made from birch plywood. The external padding of the seats and armrests is in polyurethane foam.
The common denominator of all the models is the original De Luxe processing: latticework that decorates the external frame of the poufs upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather. The motif consists of strips of Pelle Frau® leather at 45° angles, while a trim in the same material, always matching the cover of the base, frames the seat.
The “A” Grant poufs have an external frame upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather and a seat cushion available in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric.
The “B” models have a base covered in Pelle Frau® leather and a seat that is integrated into the structure. The external upholstery is available in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric. For the 140×80 cm size there is also a version with an armrest kit, which consists of two pairs of additional rectangular cushions attached to the vertical strips. In this case the belts wrap around the seat and come with snap buttons to hold the armrest cushions in place. Both these and the belts are upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather or fabric, matching the cover of the frame or the base of the pouf.
