Forget hobbits and hills. New Zealand’s hip new boutique hotel is a destination for the style savvy traveller.

Ohtel perches on a cliffside at the end of Wellington’s Oriental Parade. It’s contemporary 4 storey structure stands overlooking a jutting marina, the harbour waters of Oriental Bay and the Waitangi Park. Praised for its Mid-Century furnishings, Ohtel offers a combination of modern and retro interior furnishings and unique Kiwi décor. Eclectic wall clocks and paintings provide a bright interior aesthetic, whilst timber furnishings maintain the warmth of a cosy holiday getaway.

 

 

 

The key design feature of each room design is the bathroom, built with stretched glass walls and a luxurious two-person bath and shower. In winter, guests can illuminate the contemporary low-sitting fireplace and enjoy the underfloor heating.
