Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Habitus 63 is arguably the most aspirational issue of the year with Kitchens & Bathrooms to dream about. Whether a family hub, an entertainer’s paradise or somewhere to grad a quick meal, how we live in and spend time in the kitchen is a very personal question that requires thought and an abundance of resources. Always the aspirational eye candy of design, we have some truly lovely kitchens from Greg Natale, YSG, Splinter Society, Sally Caroline and Studio Johnston. Bathrooms are just as important with Greg Natale, Studio Tate, YSG and Those Architects sharing some fabulous insights

The MAX Side Table: A Simple, Sculptural Solution

From Anaca Studio, the new MAX side table sees a solid timber sculpture ideal for any variety of aesthetics.

Designed with a sense of classic minimalism, the MAX side table is a functional and cleanly realised table in a fresh and elegant form. The sleek yet earthy aesthetic of the table celebrates the distinctive character of the American Red Oak in which it’s designed.

Anaca Studio’s Principal and Designer Anne-Claire Petre worked closely with the Anaca manufacturing team in Sydney to create the MAX Side Table, ensuring it would result in a practical, timeless design, within a rationalised production process as well as continuing to uphold the strong sustainability credentials at the studio’s core.

The MAX Side table recalls Anaca Studio’s popular EMI pod by subtly echoing its scalloped profile. “There’s an amazing tactile aspect to the scalloped shape,” says Anne-Claire Petre “It goes beyond being an object. It has a visual appeal that makes it more of a sculpture, though a practical one.”

MAX embodies simplified luxury, easily serving as a side piece or functioning as the hero piece in a room. Locally and sustainably designed and manufactured, its Solid Red Oak Timber materiality provides a sense of warmth and depth.

Versatile and sculptural with a sincere appreciation for the distinct character of its material, the side tables come in two standard finishes, and can be custom painted to suit unique interior colour schemes.
