Expressions of interest are being sought for specialists in all art forms – visual artists, performers, filmmakers and musicians, writers, composers, theatre companies and architects – to invigorate public and unusual spaces across the city.
Expressions of interest are now open until 3 March. Selected works will be chosen to be exhibited in 2016 and 2017. The City will provide financial support ranging from $10,000 to $85,000 for each of the selected projects.
Submissions must demonstrate artistic excellence, an innovative approach, be highly accessible and appeal to a broad audience.
The City is looking for projects and installations that are:
– Participatory & immersive
– Site specific/responsive
– Storytelling/remixing history
– Performance & live music
– Street art/murals
– Emerging artists & companies building their capacity
– Collaborations
