Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Habitus 63 is arguably the most aspirational issue of the year with Kitchens & Bathrooms to dream about. Whether a family hub, an entertainer’s paradise or somewhere to grad a quick meal, how we live in and spend time in the kitchen is a very personal question that requires thought and an abundance of resources. Always the aspirational eye candy of design, we have some truly lovely kitchens from Greg Natale, YSG, Splinter Society, Sally Caroline and Studio Johnston. Bathrooms are just as important with Greg Natale, Studio Tate, YSG and Those Architects sharing some fabulous insights

Artvivant – Blinds by Bayliss

Artvivant Textiles brings a subtle layer of transparency and texture into living spaces.

Every product in the home is capable of communicating a particular aesthetic and level of quality. Even more than furniture and lighting, finishes have the ability to convey subconscious meaning through their tactile nature, as well as their role in the depth and play of light.

Blinds are no longer utilitarian window coverings – exquisite fabrics sourced from around the world are available to enhance interior living environments. Blinds by Bayliss has an extensive range from inexpensive to exclusive offerings, with a knowledgeable team providing dedicated service.

Their fabrics come from Japan, the Philippines and across Europe, with patterns and textures that represent the diverse influences and styles of their place of origin. One such range is Artvivant Textiles, a collection of hand-woven fabrics designed by Korean designer, Eun Il Lee – or Nil, as he is known.

Artvivant Textiles celebrate the organic – hand-looming takes place in the Philippines, nurturing traditional local techniques and the use of local organic fibres. Inspired by nature, the designs must be beautiful, while striking a balance between ancient and modern fibres and the dynamic fusion of east meets west.

In Habitus 05 (out now), Nil explores the city of Paris, taking readers on a tour around the places that inspire him.
