The 'Bespoke' Issue

With Guest Editor Yasmine Ghoniem, we are launched headfirst into the world of unique and eclectic design. From architecture to interiors, there is nothing that can’t be enlivened with bespoke interventions. Granted, a stunningly beautiful home can be made by simply shopping for the best, but when the artist’s hand is introduced, some pure magic is possible. Whether it is an artwork or a new upholstery, a built-in component or a mosaic inlay, these gestures, whether bold or subtle, are what make the home unique.

Best of the Best at NGV

National Gallery of Victoria’s annual ‘Best of the Best’ dinner was, as usual, extravagant, playful, and a little strange.

A unique dining experience at the NGV with 40 tables, each designed by a different interior designer, artist, jeweller, florist or creative; Best Of The Best is a fundraising event with a creative twist.

Some of those involved in creating a unique table setting were Hecker Guthrie, Schiavello, Stephen Akehurst Associates, Opera Australia, Country Road, Fenton & Fenton, Space Furniture, Julia deVille for Sophie Gannon Gallery.
