Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Habitus 63 is arguably the most aspirational issue of the year with Kitchens & Bathrooms to dream about. Whether a family hub, an entertainer’s paradise or somewhere to grad a quick meal, how we live in and spend time in the kitchen is a very personal question that requires thought and an abundance of resources. Always the aspirational eye candy of design, we have some truly lovely kitchens from Greg Natale, YSG, Splinter Society, Sally Caroline and Studio Johnston. Bathrooms are just as important with Greg Natale, Studio Tate, YSG and Those Architects sharing some fabulous insights

Boffi Open Sydney Showroom

Italy’s leading contemporary interiors company, Boffi, launched into Australia last week with Boffi Studio Sydney, a 250 square metre mono-brand showroom in Liverpool Street, Darlinghurst.

Considered one of the world’s leading interiors brands and a benchmark in craftsmanship and design excellence, Boffi Studio Sydney showcases the company’s exceptional trademark range of kitchens, bathrooms, dressing rooms and storage. The showroom is located on the previous site of a telephone exchange now redeveloped into an impressive residential and commercial building housing an eclectic mix of tenants including art galleries and creative studios near the vibrant inner city hubs of Darlinghurst and Paddington.

Following the lead of the 63 Boffi Showrooms around the world in cities such as Milan, London, Paris, Berlin, New York and Copenhagen, Boffi Studio Sydney is being established in Australia by renowned interior architect, Edwina Withers and property investor and developer, Andrew Towzell whose combined passions and expertise rest in residential, hotel and hospitality design, travel and gastronomy. Edwina will be the Director of Boffi Studio Sydney backed by a team of architects, designers and technical staff who will be trained at the Boffi Education Centre in Lentate Sul Seveso on the outskirts of Milan, Italy.  Edwina and her team will work with clients to tailor and customise Boffi solutions to suit each individual design brief.

“Creating Boffi Studio Sydney, Australia’s first Boffi showroom is a dream come true,” says Edwina. “I discovered the Boffi brand on my first visit to Milan’s ‘Salone del Mobile’ in 2000 and since then it’s been my first port of call on the showroom circuit in Milan each year.  They are the global leaders in kitchens, bathrooms, dressing rooms and storage and unsurpassed in their commitment to quality materials, production, innovation and style.”

The opening of a Sydney showroom is also a dream long realised for the Boffi family.  According to Roberto Gavazzi, Boffi CEO: “Sydney and Australia have been a notable gap in our global market presence.  Australia is one of the most sophisticated design markets in the world and we are delighted to be partnering with Edwina to offer designers, architects and consumers an opportunity to immerse themselves in our brand.”
