A New Era in Timber Flooring: The Bosco Collection by Greg Natale x Tongue & Groove

Australian designer Greg Natale partners with Tongue & Groove to launch the Bosco Collection – the inaugural release from Co.Lab, a new platform pairing cutting-edge craftsmanship with visionary design.

Some collaborations don’t just create something new – they shift perspectives and rewrite the rules. The partnership between Australian design icon Greg Natale and Tongue & Groove is one such rare moment, where a designer’s vision collides with cutting-edge craftsmanship to produce something truly innovative. The resulting Bosco Collection is the debut release from Co.Lab, Tongue & Groove’s bold new initiative that brings the brand’s precision engineering together with the world’s most visionary design minds. Driven by Natale’s long-held ambition to reinvent parquetry, Bosco pushes the boundaries of pattern and materiality, redefining what’s possible underfoot.

Renowned for his masterful use of pattern and bold, architectural interiors, Natale’s approach is deeply rooted in his early influences: his Italian heritage, a childhood home adorned with intricate ceramic tiles, and travels through Italy’s grand marble palazzi. These inspirations are woven into the DNA of Bosco, resulting in a striking reinterpretation of parquetry that transforms flooring into a statement-making design element.

The Bosco Collection introduces three distinct designs, each offering a fresh perspective on parquetry. Ada, Asti, and Albini are three configurations of the same element – an undulating interpretation of herringbone and chevron; Piero, a signature Natale motif that was first developed as a tile for his own studio, makes the leap from tile to timber, bringing its graphic, architectural edge to a new medium; and Andreani reimagines classic parquetry with a woven, textural effect that adds depth to the surface. Available in a range of tones – from subtle, tonal finishes to striking, high-contrast compositions – Bosco is designed to adapt effortlessly to minimalist and maximalist interiors alike.

“This has been a decade in the making,” says Natale. “I always saw an opportunity to do with timber what I had done with tiles – introducing curves, angles, and intricate detailing to create something entirely new.”

These visionary designs would not have been possible, however, without the precision engineering expertise of Tongue & Groove. Known for creating highly stable, three-layered timber boards that celebrate the natural beauty of European Oak, the brand provided the technical ingenuity to bring Natale’s ambitious vision to life.

“The Bosco Collection represents a pivotal moment in luxury flooring,” says Richard Karsay, CEO of Tongue & Groove. “This isn’t just a product launch – it’s a blueprint for the future of timber design.”

With this collection, flooring is no longer simply a functional surface. It’s a canvas for artistic expression and a defining feature of any interior. And with more Co.Lab collections on the horizon, created in partnership with some of the biggest names in global design, this is only the beginning of a radical rethinking of luxury timber flooring.
