The 'Bespoke' Issue

With Guest Editor Yasmine Ghoniem, we are launched headfirst into the world of unique and eclectic design. From architecture to interiors, there is nothing that can’t be enlivened with bespoke interventions. Granted, a stunningly beautiful home can be made by simply shopping for the best, but when the artist’s hand is introduced, some pure magic is possible. Whether it is an artwork or a new upholstery, a built-in component or a mosaic inlay, these gestures, whether bold or subtle, are what make the home unique.

Dado Emily Bath

Dado’s newest bath represents luxurious contemporary bathing without compromising on space.

The Emily bath from Dado has the impressive look of a large freestanding bath, but it is quite small in length, so it can fit easily within a limited space. Influenced by the Japanese ‘furo’ – a small traditional tub with steep sides used primarily for relaxation – the Emily does not compromise on width, making it both spacious and comfortable.

In contrast to the furo, the Emily bath offers the Western properties of a reclining bath, providing the perfect place to relax and unwind.

The Emily is made from DADOquartz – offering fantastic insulating properties, retaining water temperature and allowing hours of bathing comfort. Made of a solid casting from a mixture of quartz and resin, DADOquartz is designed using state-of-the-art technology; meaning it is stronger, more durable and scratch and mildew resistant.

Installation of the Emily bath is also easy thanks to the cavity under the bath, which allows enough space for waste systems to be connected, without ruining the freestanding appeal.

The DADOquartz Emily bath comes in dimensions of 1530 mm x 775 mm x 600 mm, and has a 25-year factory warranty, ensuring many years of stylish, comfortable bathing.
