Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Habitus 63 is arguably the most aspirational issue of the year with Kitchens & Bathrooms to dream about. Whether a family hub, an entertainer’s paradise or somewhere to grad a quick meal, how we live in and spend time in the kitchen is a very personal question that requires thought and an abundance of resources. Always the aspirational eye candy of design, we have some truly lovely kitchens from Greg Natale, YSG, Splinter Society, Sally Caroline and Studio Johnston. Bathrooms are just as important with Greg Natale, Studio Tate, YSG and Those Architects sharing some fabulous insights

Designer Rugs introduces the textures collection.

Designer Rugs has launched the Textures Collection – a series of handmade rugs that foreground the tactile and visual qualities of premium materials. Drawing on traditional techniques such as handknotting, handlooming and hand-tufting, the collection amalgamates craftsmanship with customisation, offering pieces that suit a broad range of residential and commercial interiors.

The collection features New Zealand wool, silk and artificial silk, with a focus on natural finishes, subtle lustres and material depth. Clients are invited to customise colourways, sizes and shapes to suit individual spaces.

“Our Textures Collection embodies the essence of luxury and creativity, offering clients the opportunity to curate their interiors with bespoke pieces crafted from the finest materials. This collection is a celebration of traditional artisanry skill, innovation and timeless design, reflecting our commitment to delivering exceptional pieces that redefine luxury underfoot,” shares Yosi Tal, Managing Director of Designer Rugs.

The Ravira rug comprises New Zealand wool and silk in soft pairings such as Peach/Coffee and Charcoal/Honey. Summit, made in India using 100% handspun wool, introduces organic, terrain-inspired textures in hues like Baked Clay and Black Plum. Sabi takes cues from the Japanese Wabi-Sabi aesthetic, favouring gentle imperfection in tones such as Hunter, Cognac and Champagne. Tufted options include Wolfram Border, which adds definition with its outlined design, and expanded colourways for Wolfram and Rhodium, both combining wool and artificial silk to create a balance of softness and resilience.

For nearly four decades, Designer Rugs has shaped Australian interiors through bespoke design and ongoing collaborations with leading creatives – the Textures Collection continues that, with a versatile approach to luxury underfoot.
