Dulux has unveiled its latest forecast, highlighting in the ‘Still’ palette a collection of warm neutrals, earthy yellows, soft greens and cool blues designed to bring serenity and luxury to interiors.

The Dulux Autumn/Winter Colour Forecast 2025 emphasises a retreat from the bustling pace of summer, offering hues that encourage calm and reflection. Andrea Lucena-Orr, Dulux Colour and Communications Manager, explains the appeal of these tones: “Warm neutrals, earthy yellows, soft greens and cool blues encapsulate the feeling Australians may find themselves yearning for this autumn and winter.”

Informed by ongoing cost-of-living pressures, the palette provides a soothing antidote to the current mood, promoting comfort and harmony. Lauren Treloar, Dulux Colour Manager, adds that the Dulux ‘Still’ palette offers a stepping stone for consumers wanting to introduce more colour into their homes: “Dulux Clay Pipe is a brown-based warm neutral ideal for walls and ceilings. Each of the colours within the palette have a greyed-off, soft and muted undertone giving them a timeless, grounded quality. For those wanting to enhance the feeling of sophistication within your home, look to incorporate richer shades from the palette, such as Dulux Clay Court, Dulux Studio Cream or Dulux Pesto.”

Dulux Clay Pipe, a brown-based warm neutral, in indeed a standout, gaining popularity for its versatility on walls and ceilings. Treloar recommends pairing it with Dulux Antique White U.S.A.® for an inviting warmth. Richer shades like Dulux Clay Court and Dulux Pesto add sophistication to any space.

The Dulux team, led by stylist Bree Banfield, demonstrated the palette’s potential through a living room and bedroom makeover. Banfield comments: “The living room features a healthy amount of enticing texture and colour, such as the boucle armchair, the woven throws and cushions and woollen carpet offering a plush feeling underfoot. As natural materials are key to this trend, we referenced eco-friendly finishes like timber in lighting and furniture pieces. Elsewhere, organic shapes and detailing can be seen in the rounded marble coffee table and other hand-made decorative vessels. The end result is a look that’s elegant and sophisticated, yet approachable.”

The bedroom transformation used Dulux Enterprise, a deep moody blue with grey undertones, to enhance the room’s traditional features while grounding the space. “The ‘Still’ trend embodies this sense of quiet luxury, so to complete the look we made sure to incorporate soft and organic forms within the bedding and furniture pieces, layering different textures such as wool and linen,” notes Lucena-Orr.

For inspiration and practical tips on using the palette, Dulux encourages homeowners to explore textured materials, eco-friendly finishes and sculptural decor pieces.
