Space Furniture has announced an exclusive Australian partnership with Gallotti&Radice, the Italian furniture company known for its long experimentation with glass.
Founded in Brianza in 1956 by Pierangelo Gallotti and Luigi Radice, the company began as a workshop specialising in decorative glass. Its collection has since expanded across furniture, lighting and accessories for residential and commercial interiors, while glass remains a consistent thread through the work.
The partnership places Gallotti&Radice alongside brands including B&B Italia, Edra, Baxter, Maxalto, Living Divani and Kartell within the Space Furniture portfolio. The broader collection will now be available through Space showrooms in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
“Gallotti&Radice has been part of the Australian design conversation for some time,” says Space Furniture Group CEO Leighton Clarke. “Taking on the exclusive partnership is an opportunity to show the wider collection, support it as a business partner and grow its presence here over the long term.”
The announcement coincides with Gallotti&Radice’s 70th anniversary. During Milan Design Week 2026, the company marked the occasion with Tales in Glass, an exhibition staged at Palazzo Meli Lupi di Soragna and designed by architect Sophie Dries.
Organised around the company’s past, present and future, the exhibition traced its development from a specialist glass workshop to a multidisciplinary furniture house. Six designers — Valentina Cameranesi Sgroi, Ivania Carpio, Estudio Persona, Rania Hamed, Fumie Shibata and Miminat Shodeinde — were invited to respond to the archive through new commissions.
At Salone del Mobile, Gallotti&Radice presented its 2026 Diario collection within a series of enclosed architectural settings. New furniture appeared alongside established designs, including the President desk by Studio G&R and Pierangelo Gallotti’s T35 Trio side table, locating contemporary additions within the company’s longer design history.

Recent collaborations have also extended the collection beyond its early association with glass. Studiopepe has developed pieces including the Selce-T dining table, Mirage coffee tables and Sunset storage series, while Oscar and Gabriele Buratti, Massimo Castagna, Federica Biasi, Dainelli Studio, Francesco Meda and David Lopez Quincoces have contributed seating, tables and cabinetry.
Glass still shapes the collection through its material and technical possibilities. Tempering, engraving, sandblasting, acid treatment and lacquering are combined with timber, bronze, brass, steel and leather. The Half-Pipe chair by Meda and Lopez Quincoces, for example, uses a translucent material produced with recycled glass powder.
Now led by the second generation of both founding families, Gallotti&Radice continues to design and manufacture its collection in Italy. Its arrival at Space Furniture gives the Australian market broader access to that history, including both familiar pieces and parts of the collection that have previously had a more limited local presence.
