With Guest Editor Greg Natale we are in extremely good hands when it comes to contemporary design. Noted as one of the most important interior designers of the past decade, Greg has fashioned homes all over the world. The author of several books and a homewares and product designer, Greg brings an enormous wealth of ideas and solutions to this exemplar issue.
Kitchens and bathrooms are arguably the most important renovations undertaken. With longevity and quality at their core, the home may change and evolve around them, but these rooms require attention that will stand the test of time. Whether a family hub, an entertainer’s paradise or somewhere to grad a quick meal, how we live in and spend time in the kitchen is a very personal question that requires thought and an abundance of resources.
In this issue we have some truly lovely work from Greg Natale, YSG, Splinter Society, Sally Caroline and Studio Johnston. Bathrooms are just as important with Studio Tate, YSG, Those Architects and of course Greg Natale sharing some fabulous insights (Features from page 75).

Every home in this issue is totally fabulous, with our usual Indo-Pacific coverage taking a stretch to include Greg Natale’s project in New York and an unbelievably lush apartment in Kiev by Yana Molodykh. Closer to home, Portsea House by AM Architecture is an open and contemporary pavilion with modernist leanings.
Beautiful moments of colour and form abound in Studio Doherty’s South Yarra House. Modernism is writ large with David Langston-Jones’ divine Little Young St containing everything needed, but nothing more. Wharf House by Arent&Pyke thinks about its place and how to live better. For a bit of hospitality fun and some great design Cibaria by Luchetti Krelle is a visual delight. Also in Hospitality, The Eve Hotel by SJB is simply brilliant (On location from page 135).

These three extraordinary design hunters were top of mind for this issue with close connections to Greg as collaborators, colleagues and friends. Myles Baldwin is the go-to landscape architect and completely charming. Sarah Robson is an artist working across mediums, whose felt work in particular is astounding. Jase Sullivan, the once model, now interior designer, is proving himself with exceptional interiors (Profiles from page 47).

Lightbox is, as always, packed with extraordinarily lovely things, objects, art, furniture, design and even ideas (Lightbox from page 23).
