The 'Future' Issue

Habitus #64 Welcome to the HABITUS ‘Future’ and ‘Habitus House of the Year’ Issue. We are thrilled to have interior designer of excellence, Brahman Perera, as Guest Editor and to celebrate his Sri Lankan heritage through an interview with Palinda Kannangara and his extraordinary Ek Onkar project – divine! Thinking about the future, we look at the technology shaping our approach to sustainability and the ways traditional materials are enjoying a new-found place in the spotlight. NSW Leather offers new ways to experience leather in the
home environment

Leather has traditionally entered the home in the form of
upholstery. With an extensive range of diverse cowhide rugs and homewares
available from NSW Leathers, this revered finish can also be celebrated as a
feature element of living spaces.

A variety of natural, coloured and printed finishes
available on short, medium and longhaired rugs caters for every leather-lover.
Whether your preference is for lustrous shine, sophisticated matte or something
in between, the aesthetic qualities of each hide are unique.

A full spectrum of hues and patterns are available to
complement any interior. Natural colours include Black and White, Brown and
White, Tri-Colour, Solid Black, White Bellies, Dark, Medium and Light Exotic.

For something a bit brighter, the Techno Coloured rugs also
offer a burst of colour. The vibrant tones are created with the environment in
mind, using friendly mineral dyes that nurture the natural, mellow and silky texture
of the leather.

For those who like to carry their leather with them, NSW
Leather also has a great selection of cushions and locally made bags, available
in natural black and white and brown and white. All these beautiful, natural products are easy to maintain,
extremely durable and hypo-allergenic.

NSW Leather is open Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm and
welcomes a visit to their warehouse to view their products.
