Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Habitus 63 is arguably the most aspirational issue of the year with Kitchens & Bathrooms to dream about. Whether a family hub, an entertainer’s paradise or somewhere to grad a quick meal, how we live in and spend time in the kitchen is a very personal question that requires thought and an abundance of resources. Always the aspirational eye candy of design, we have some truly lovely kitchens from Greg Natale, YSG, Splinter Society, Sally Caroline and Studio Johnston. Bathrooms are just as important with Greg Natale, Studio Tate, YSG and Those Architects sharing some fabulous insights

Making Iconic Houses

The talk series will look at 29 iconic houses and their creation by the architects behind them.

The word ‘iconic’ is thrown around easily nowadays, but what does it mean for a house to be described as such, and how is it manifest in the building itself?

The event will explore 29 iconic architect-designed 20th century houses from the 1950s to the 1990s, and is presented in partnership with the Architecture Foundation of Australia.

The talk will look at the different house styles that developed across Australia from the 1950s to the beginning of the 21st century – dictated by climate, materials and the sheer inventiveness of the architects.
