Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Habitus 63 is arguably the most aspirational issue of the year with Kitchens & Bathrooms to dream about. Whether a family hub, an entertainer’s paradise or somewhere to grad a quick meal, how we live in and spend time in the kitchen is a very personal question that requires thought and an abundance of resources. Always the aspirational eye candy of design, we have some truly lovely kitchens from Greg Natale, YSG, Splinter Society, Sally Caroline and Studio Johnston. Bathrooms are just as important with Greg Natale, Studio Tate, YSG and Those Architects sharing some fabulous insights

Modern storage solutions with the Hillside

Designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune, the Hillside storage units are inspired by modernist architecture and see form and function coming together in a terrific marriage.

Hillside derives its distinctive design form through the combining of different elements, allowing for a customised format for each owner. The Hillside Storage System is not only efficient in function, but its sculptural qualities give it a striking modernist look, and the bright colours are well suited to complement many design aesthetics.

In many ways, architecture tries to think outside of the box, or go beyond the limitations of the square form. The angled design of Hillside solves this problem. With a small amount of parts, the system is still flexible enough to allowing a plethora of straightforward, and even complex arrangements – furthering Hillside’s ability to suit a number of styles.

The series includes floor-standing units and a wall-mounted unit and is available in Australia by Poliform.
