Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Kitchens and bathrooms are, arguably, the most consequential rooms in the home — and almost always the first to be considered. Whether approached through renovation or new build, their design has the power to recalibrate how a home is lived in and experienced. For this issue, our guest editor, Mardi Doherty, principal of Studio Doherty, explores what it truly means to transform these pivotal spaces — and why thoughtful design in kitchens and bathrooms delivers dividends far beyond the purely functional. Her insights both as an architect and as her own client give an open and honest account of the thinking behind creating a home.

Lipstick Modern Outdoor Chair

Available from Parterre, the Butaca Lipstick was designed by Jose Gandia for Gandia Blasco in Valencia, Spain.

Designed with style and longevity in mind, this outdoor chair from Parterre, features a cylindrical body made from durable all-weather molded polyethylene. Perfect for outdoor settings or next to the pool the Lipstick offers minimal design that is able to complement any modern space.

The chair comes with a coffee table sold separately and an EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) cushion is available as an accessory to the seat. Happily, the polyethylene this Lipstick is made from is fade and mildew resistant making it perfect for withstanding the outdoors.

The Lipstick comes in five colours and  is suitable for both cold and warm climates.
