Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Habitus 63 is arguably the most aspirational issue of the year with Kitchens & Bathrooms to dream about. Whether a family hub, an entertainer’s paradise or somewhere to grad a quick meal, how we live in and spend time in the kitchen is a very personal question that requires thought and an abundance of resources. Always the aspirational eye candy of design, we have some truly lovely kitchens from Greg Natale, YSG, Splinter Society, Sally Caroline and Studio Johnston. Bathrooms are just as important with Greg Natale, Studio Tate, YSG and Those Architects sharing some fabulous insights

Ply Candy

Sydney’s Ply Candy is using a humble material to create sustainable modern furniture that is beautiful, understated and locally made.

Ply Candy is a Sydney-based creative start-up making beautifully designed and finished Birch plywood furniture for people who appreciate design. Their philosophy is to make simple, modern furniture that is as affordable as possible while still being made entirely locally.

This is achieved this by using digital technology to minimise wasted materials. Each piece of furniture is cut with a digital CNC router and then assembled and finished lovingly by hand. Ply Candy products are eco-friendly and healthy — made from sustainably grown Finnish Birch Plywood with an E0 emissions rating.
