Living in the Environment Issue

Issue 62 is the first issue of the year and always a great time to put our best foot forward. With Adam Goodrum, the loveliest man in design, as Guest Editor, we draw on his insights as a furniture designer, artist and educator to look at the makers shaping our design world. Sustainability has never been more important, and increasingly this is a consideration from the start with projects designed to address their immediate environment as well as the longevity of the planet. From the coldest winters to the most tropical of summers, addressing how we live in the environment is crucial to creating the perfect home.

Habitus just loves the latest design from Smeg refrigerators. This slick and beautiful FAB28RCG refrigerator has a sculpted iconic design and features the very latest in 21st century technology.

This contemporary model  has quick chill crystal glass shelves, auto defrost, compact freezer compartment and an excellent energy rating that complies with European A+ class  standards. Now available in deep brown the luxe styling is decadent and utterly luscious in chocolate with bright gold handle.

Smeg has earned a reputation with Design Hunters for its slick approach to kitchen appliances and white goods. Now Italy’s largest privately owned domestic kitchen appliances manufacturer Smeg is renowned worldwide for its innovation, architectural style and superb engineering.

Smeg retains its leading edge in the worldwide market through a total dedication to the design and manufacturing of specialist appliances. A continual monitoring of trends and developments in both style and technology has led to a constantly evolving partnership with leading architects and designers.
