A bathroom drainage system that’s tailor-made for 2025

Innovative, reliable – and remarkably current – Stormtech’s 120SCS linear drainage system expands design possibilities for architects and designers.

Right now, when it comes to bathroom design, specifiers are doing some striking things.

They are using rainfall showerheads and deep soaking tubs – along with sustainable materials like reclaimed wood, recycled glass, and low-flow fixtures – to transform residential spaces into spa-like retreats.

They are introducing bold colours and new unexpected textures, and matching them with organic shapes, and statement walls.

And they are maintaining an emphasis on sustainability and accessibility, while employing the latest smart systems, and cutting-edge technologies.

Of course, regardless of current trends, successful bathroom design is about more than aesthetic considerations. As ever, it involves combining such ambitions with performance and functionality.

As such, the best bathrooms include fixtures like Stormtech’s 120SCS linear drainage system.

Suitable for wall-to-wall installation, the system features dual-sided operation (which allows surface water to drain from both sides of the shower screen). A design breakthrough that ranks alongside the company’s invention of the linear drain, this means it can function as a bathroom’s only drain.

It ensures a sleek, uncluttered appearance, simplifies the tile installation process, and generally expands bathroom design possibilities. In other words, it improves flexibility without affecting performance.

For this reason, though it has been on the market for some time, the 120SCS linear drain is tailor-made for today’s bathroom trends.

It frees designers to do away with partitions, remove changes in flooring levels, and create open, free-flowing spaces; to introduce features like steam showers, deep soaking tubs, and ‘floating’ wall-mounted vanities; and to improve accessibility by introducing step-free showers.

Integrated shower screen support

On top of that, the drain includes integrated shower screen support, which is suitable for both enclosed and wall-hung shower screens. It ensures a simple, strong, and effective hold that can be relied upon to last over time.

Like all Stormtech products, the 120SCS linear drainage system is Australian made from marine grade 316 stainless steel. With its patented design, it exceeds all Australian Standards and is WaterMark certified.

It is available in a choice of seven grate designs, including architectural wedgewire, tile insert and punched slot styles as well as a range of special finish options.

Given that customers can choose between Stormtech’s 120SCS Made-to-Length units or their own custom specifications, this ensures there is something for most domestic applications.

Unobtrusive and designed with both functionality and style at front of mind, the 120SCS linear system presents as an ideal bathroom option for 2025.
