The 'Bespoke' Issue

With Guest Editor Yasmine Ghoniem, we are launched headfirst into the world of unique and eclectic design. From architecture to interiors, there is nothing that can’t be enlivened with bespoke interventions. Granted, a stunningly beautiful home can be made by simply shopping for the best, but when the artist’s hand is introduced, some pure magic is possible. Whether it is an artwork or a new upholstery, a built-in component or a mosaic inlay, these gestures, whether bold or subtle, are what make the home unique.

Tom Dixon finds space in Sydney

Tom Dixon

Living Edge offers an immersive encounter with Tom Dixon’s latest works and signature designs.

Positioned within the illustrious Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, within the Living Edge Woollahra store, you will find a showcase of Tom Dixon – an upcoming edition dedicated to the renowned British designer. Living Edge brings to Sydney an experience shaped by the creative energy of Tom Dixon’s London headquarters, offering an immersive encounter with his latest works and signature designs.

The activation, now open, marks a major moment for the brand’s presence in Australia. Visitors will be among the first to view Dixon’s inaugural modular sofas, Fat and Plump, alongside newly released pieces including the Pose light, Groove outdoor range and a debut textile collection. The installation also celebrates a decade of the iconic Melt lighting series, with a dramatic display commemorating its enduring influence.

This special collaboration is staged within Living Edge’s new Woollahra environment, a concept-driven space where design is experienced at scale. Here, Tom Dixon’s commitment to material innovation and sculptural form takes centre stage in a setting that speaks to his studio’s industrial roots and experimental ethos.

“Living Edge has long envisioned a dedicated space beyond the Alexandria showroom; an environment designed specifically for immersive brand activations. This new Woollahra space has allowed us to bring each brand to life on its terms, offering a more focused and expressive platform to communicate the full depth of their design, heritage, and creative vision,” shares Aidan Mawhinney, CEO of Living Edge.
