Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Habitus 63 is arguably the most aspirational issue of the year with Kitchens & Bathrooms to dream about. Whether a family hub, an entertainer’s paradise or somewhere to grad a quick meal, how we live in and spend time in the kitchen is a very personal question that requires thought and an abundance of resources. Always the aspirational eye candy of design, we have some truly lovely kitchens from Greg Natale, YSG, Splinter Society, Sally Caroline and Studio Johnston. Bathrooms are just as important with Greg Natale, Studio Tate, YSG and Those Architects sharing some fabulous insights

Useful Living

Useful Living is a series of ready-to-assemble furniture consisting of a shelf, rack and chair by Berlin-based designer Lee Sanghyeok.

The oak timber, a classic Danish choice for wooden furniture, and the custom designed brass joints lend a natural harmony to the Useful Living series. The furniture collection mimics scaffolding structures in construction sites, and in its flexible design, it also reflects a nomadic lifestyle of impermanence.

Useful Shelf features wood-smoked shelves, while Useful Rack is stripped of excessive decoration leaving focus on the aesthetic of the structure. Useful Chair has a minimal but strong structure and tells a story once the sitter engages with the object.
