Introducing the Life Outside issue of Habitus magazine. With life increasingly being absorbed into a digital space, there is never a more important moment to hold something tangible. In this context, the power of nature to have a physiological impact on our sense of wellbeing has never been more important. So how can we cultivate the benefits of the our natural environment in the most intimate of places – our homes? This was the question that helped to bring this issue of Habitus to life.

SID Insider Design Hunter™ Q+A: Bianca Riggio

An insider in this year’s Sydney Indesign, Bianca Riggio is one half of design duo Page Thirty Three. We expand on the usual Design Hunter template to give you a glimpse into her creative process via a snapshot of her desk.


On My Desk:

Pot plant; I always need something green around me. We have a small family of plants in our studio

Hot / cold water bottle; recently purchased at Hay house Copenhagen

Mesh bag; to cart my lunch to-and-from work

Mac book retina; with me always

Hard drive AKA brain

Ipad mini; I listen to soundcloud for most of the day.

Perforated notebook; another buy from Hay house Copenhagen

Black pen; that I stole from Ryan.

Current inspiration; Urnatur eco village brochure – an eco lodge we recently visited in Sweden, a postcard from the Keith Harring retrospective at the Palace de Tokyo & some large safety matches

Vitra tool box; holds pantone book, diary, weekly planner, sticky tape and more.

Pen holder; also hold Calendula lip balm and Rosehip face oil.

Rosewater face-mist spray bottle; A great freshen up when you have been staring into a screen for a couple of hours.

Your name: Bianca Riggio

What you do: Run a design company called Page Thirty Three, as well as freelance styling, set design & graphics.

Your latest project: Utopia collection for Page Thirty Three, set design for Johnanthan Boulet film clip

What is your favourite…

Chair model: Kare Klint – Safari Chair

Residential space: I constantly drag off interiors I love- no one favourite.

Decorative product: At the moment, our knitted Yoga Balls.


Functional product: Bottle opener

Handmade good: Blended essential oils & handmade beauty products

Re-invented classic: Wooden clock radio

Meal: Dumplings

Restaurant:  Din tai fung

Drink: Penicillin – smoked whiskey, ginger, honey .

Item in your studio: An old Tibetan crystal skull I picked up a few years

Fictional character: 90’s cat woman

Vice: Sugar
