The 'Bespoke' Issue

With Guest Editor Yasmine Ghoniem, we are launched headfirst into the world of unique and eclectic design. From architecture to interiors, there is nothing that can’t be enlivened with bespoke interventions. Granted, a stunningly beautiful home can be made by simply shopping for the best, but when the artist’s hand is introduced, some pure magic is possible. Whether it is an artwork or a new upholstery, a built-in component or a mosaic inlay, these gestures, whether bold or subtle, are what make the home unique.

Taste of Sydney Winners

We announce the winners of our Taste of Sydney ticket competition

For the Taste of Sydney Festival will, running from 11 – 14 March 2010, habitusliving.com offered readers the
opportunity to win 2 tickets. The
response was overwhelming, showing that Sydneysiders really
love their food and their restaurants.

We had two winners who painted us pictures of their favourite
Sydney restaurants, standing out as the best. Congratulations to Chantal Henderson and Lucy
Pullin.

“I lurve Bodega in Surry Hills – first the angst of trying
to get a table, followed by the thrill of landing one and then the joy
of diving into all those tapas treats – perfect for the indecisive
person like me – how could anyone say no to chorizo!”
Chantal Henderson

“An authentic Italian experience. Sitting in the courtyard we
could have been in Italy. The staff – mostly Italian, spoke about the
food personally. They explained the food and wine through telling
stories of where they were from, giving reassurance that this is how is
it done in Italy. We started with baked olives – delicious and it was
just the beginning. The standard had been set for the evening and it
didn’t disappoint.”
Lucy Pullin

Congratulations to you both, enjoy the festival! And stay tuned for more great prizes on habitusliving.com
