Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Habitus 63 is arguably the most aspirational issue of the year with Kitchens & Bathrooms to dream about. Whether a family hub, an entertainer’s paradise or somewhere to grad a quick meal, how we live in and spend time in the kitchen is a very personal question that requires thought and an abundance of resources. Always the aspirational eye candy of design, we have some truly lovely kitchens from Greg Natale, YSG, Splinter Society, Sally Caroline and Studio Johnston. Bathrooms are just as important with Greg Natale, Studio Tate, YSG and Those Architects sharing some fabulous insights

Exclusivity is in the name for Cult and GUBI

Cult is now the exclusive* B2B vendor for the Danish design brand, GUBI across key markets of Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

It’s best to let the first word come from GUBI’s creative director and owner, Jacob Gubi, who once said, “Design is all about discovering gems and following your instincts. It involves travelling, searching and finding long-lost remnants from the past as well as contemporary, cutting-edge designs from new artists on the horizon.”

As a visionary of a design house, the Danish company GUBI is no stranger to bold next steps. Originally a local family-owned business from 1967, the son of the founders Jacob Gubi brings courageous intuition and resonant vision to GUBI’s collection of furniture, lighting and interior objects.

“The success of Gubi can be put down to the words we live by. We focus on the carefully curated and intuitively iconic, this has been the spirit of Gubi since 1967,” says Andrew Luke, the managing director of Gubi Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. “Gubi is where the beauty of history meets the thrill of right now.”

With their designs on a global stage, significant milestones are bound to happen and on 1 May, Cult and GUBI announced an exclusive* trade partnership for Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. Cult and GUBI have long been close, with Cult distributing GUBI in Australia for over 10 years.

This new partnership makes Cult the exclusive* vendor of the complete GUBI collection of furniture and lighting in these three core markets. Renowned for its handpicked edit of high-quality furniture and lighting, the partnership brings the best of the world right to our doorstep.

On the announcement, Cult founder and director Richard Munao says, “We have worked with GUBI for over a decade, and I am thrilled to see our relationship strengthen further with Cult’s appointment as the exclusive* B2B vendor in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

The exclusive*, new partnership also comes with a new announcement from GUBI with their first collection of outdoor furniture and lighting: GUBI goes al fresco. With an all-encompassing and refreshing take on outdoor design, as well as outdoor versions of their already stellar indoor portfolio, this trade partnership is already turning heads.

Be sure to follow GUBI and Cult closely in the coming months, as there’s always something new bound to happen with these two.

*GUBI is exclusive in all states and territories in Australia excluding ACT + VIC.
