These exclusive, handmade and made-to-order rugs bring the highest level of distinction to interior spaces and are now available in Australia.

Danskina is now under the joint leadership of longtime partners Kvadrat and Maharam and is being creatively directed by Dutch design icon, Hella Jongerius.

When Kvadrat and Maharam took over joint leadership of Danskina their first step was to appoint a new design director and the Dutch design icon, Hella Jongerius, was a natural choice.

Hella Jongerius’ first pieces for Danskina include Bold, Duotone and Multitone. All three designs are made from 100 percent pure wool by skilled weavers from India and New Zealand. Thick, warm and highly tactile, they each feature an appealing irregularity due to their beautiful handmade imperfections.

Hosted by Kvadrat Maharam, the Australian launch of Danskina was held at the Kvadrat Maharam showroom in Sydney with international attendance from Maharam’s Brendan Clarke to celebrate the launch. The divine Danskina rugs were on show for some of Australia’s top architecture and designs firms to experience the wonderful textures and beautiful handmade imperfections of the collection.
