With Adam Goodrum, the loveliest man in design, as Guest Editor, we draw on his insights as a furniture designer, artist and educator to look at the makers shaping our design world. Sustainability has never been more important, and increasingly this is a consideration from the start with projects designed to address their immediate environment as well as the longevity of the planet. A Sydney hospitality landmark reopens, revealing a balance between heritage architecture and modern design.
Sydney celebrated one of its architectural gems on Wednesday night with the official relaunch of the newly refurbished Harbour Rocks Hotel. Guest moved throughout the intimate, boutique hotel, enjoying a drink in the new wine bar, enjoying the warm night air out on the new courtyard and hearing singer David Campbell perform live in the penthouse of the hotel, the Harbour View Suite.
