We are thrilled to have interior designer of excellence, Brahman Perera, as Guest Editor and to celebrate his Sri Lankan heritage through an interview with Palinda Kannangara and his extraordinary Ek Onkar project – divine! Thinking about the future, we look at the technology shaping our approach to sustainability and the ways traditional materials are enjoying a new-found place in the spotlight. Following a masterclass with Tetsuya at the Electrolux pop-up Inspiration Kitchen in Centennial Park, guests were transported to a magical Diner En Blanc.
The 25-year-old global phenomenon had its second Australian edition on the iconic sands of Bondi Beach, where 3,000 foodies, all dressed in white, shared in a gourmet outdoor dining experience. Food, conversation, sparklers and dancing were had by all – including Tetsuya, who seemed to enjoy the event as much as anyone – as the sun set against the picturesque backdrop.
