Living in the Environment Issue

Issue 62 is the first issue of the year and always a great time to put our best foot forward. With Adam Goodrum, the loveliest man in design, as Guest Editor, we draw on his insights as a furniture designer, artist and educator to look at the makers shaping our design world. Sustainability has never been more important, and increasingly this is a consideration from the start with projects designed to address their immediate environment as well as the longevity of the planet. From the coldest winters to the most tropical of summers, addressing how we live in the environment is crucial to creating the perfect home.

Lights, Camera – It’s a Wrap!

Melbourne Indesign 2016 was a mammoth event spanning three days, and Habitus was proud to be a part of the conversation, on the ground visiting showrooms and exhibitions, spurring conversation with our LiveLife panels, and letting down our hair at the official Melbourne Indesign After Party.

The wonderful Melbourne Indesign the Event team brought back the industry’s most iconic bash – the Melbourne Indesign After Party.

Designed by SJB, Harry the Hirer’s recently unveiled showroom hosted this very important party where we rubbed shoulders with A&D’s most iconic players. A secret whisky room, jazz band, some pretty intense blue lighting, a disco dance floor, and champagne for days. Thank you to everyone who joined us, partied hard and made some memories.

Until next year!

Proudly partnered by Sunbrella, Sharp & Carter, Harry The Hirer, Starward, Eness, Flowers Vasette, and Cosentino.
