Kitchens and bathrooms are, arguably, the most consequential rooms in the home — and almost always the first to be considered. Whether approached through renovation or new build, their design has the power to recalibrate how a home is lived in and experienced. Month of Design at Supacenta

‘Month of Design’ is back this year at Supacenta Moore Park with a series of creative, design-focused events intended to engage and inspire.

Here at habitusliving we’re particularly excited about the ‘Supercycle our Souls’ exhibition, which will feature the work of innovative, sustainable designers and has come straight from Milan’s Salone Del Mobile. Created by eight vibrant Australian design practices, the exhibition also concentrates on the sharing of ideas around sustainability in design, encouraging a growing movement in collaborative production. The key works will be displayed throughout the gallery level and are curated by Sarah King.

There will also be workshops conducted by renowned home stylist Megan Morton, food expert John Wilson, and David Clark, Editor of Vogue Living will give his Milan report for 2012.

To support the creative mood Supa Centa Moore Park has commissioned Jordana Maisie to create a special installation on the gallery level. Jordana has shown in galleries and festivals throughout Australia, Europe and South Korea.

‘Month of Design’ will run at Supacenta Moore Park from 15 June to 15 July 2012.
