Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Habitus 63 is arguably the most aspirational issue of the year with Kitchens & Bathrooms to dream about. Whether a family hub, an entertainer’s paradise or somewhere to grad a quick meal, how we live in and spend time in the kitchen is a very personal question that requires thought and an abundance of resources. Always the aspirational eye candy of design, we have some truly lovely kitchens from Greg Natale, YSG, Splinter Society, Sally Caroline and Studio Johnston. Bathrooms are just as important with Greg Natale, Studio Tate, YSG and Those Architects sharing some fabulous insights

For anyone with an interest in design, here’s an event for you: WORKSHOPPED 14 Clean Slaate. With 54 designers, 10 days and 60,000 visitors, it’s the single largest event part of Sydney Design 2014, held at the Supa Centa Moore Park, Sydney 14 – 24 August.

Now in its 14th year, the WORKSHOPPED exhibition is nationally recognised as one of the most important public platforms for both emerging and established product and furniture designers. Since 2001, WORKSHOPPED has presented the work of over 300 Australian designers through 13 exhibitions and viewed by over 500,000 people. And this year, the exhibition asked designers to share their thought processes in developing ideas, designs and products – from a clean slate.

“Design thinking is going to have a huge impact on Australia’s future prosperity. It’s core to innovation. Our exhibition is a great opportunity for the wider public to look at the design development process – imagination, research and concept to prototype development,” says director, Raymond Scott.

The company’s influence on Australian design is evident. With designs in production with local and international manufacturers, winning international design awards and the subject of local and international acclaim. At the event, exhibitions aim to do more than just show great design; it’s a place for relationships between commercial designers, industry and the marketplace to flourish.

See you there!
