AIRSLATE

By Earp Bros

Using one of the most ancient construction materials known to man, PORCELANOSA Group and L’Antic Colonial have developed a new product from natural stone set to revolutionise the architectural and interior design space.

Air Slate is a new and unique natural stone laminate now available exclusively from Earp Bros. It is crafted from natural slate that has been reduced in thickness to 2 – 4mm. This slim surface material is extremely light, weighing less than 5kg a square metre, making it easy to manage and extremely flexible. This unique flexibility allows Air Slate to be installed effectively on uneven or curved surfaces with a radius of 250mm or more.

Air Slate is strengthened with a fibreglass layer that reinforces the structure providing outstanding hardness and resistance. Due to these factors greater stability and flexion is achieved. Furthermore, the lightweight material is easy to transport and install. To develop an even better surface finish, L’Antic Colonial has applied an advanced protective treatment to the product that is hygienic and safe. Bioprot is an innovative sealing treatment that is applied to stone to give it added antibacterial properties.

The Air Slate stone laminate range includes beautiful varieties of slates including thinner and lighter models in hues of browns, greys and charcoals that are suitable for numerous applications. These applications include walls, countertops, columns and more. The lightness and flexibility of Air Slate makes it ideal for refurbishments as well as covering large areas.
