We are thrilled to have interior designer of excellence, Brahman Perera, as Guest Editor and to celebrate his Sri Lankan heritage through an interview with Palinda Kannangara and his extraordinary Ek Onkar project – divine! Thinking about the future, we look at the technology shaping our approach to sustainability and the ways traditional materials are enjoying a new-found place in the spotlight. The Perch stool got its inspiration from a very round, solid wooden doorknob in Helsinki. The young designers participated in the Finnish Design Shop Design competition, FDS Awards, and won the first prize with their light stool. The counter height Perch fits well to kitchen as well as waiting areas or bars. Available version are oak, black stained oak and grey painted birch.
