Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Kitchens and bathrooms are, arguably, the most consequential rooms in the home — and almost always the first to be considered. Whether approached through renovation or new build, their design has the power to recalibrate how a home is lived in and experienced. For this issue, our guest editor, Mardi Doherty, principal of Studio Doherty, explores what it truly means to transform these pivotal spaces — and why thoughtful design in kitchens and bathrooms delivers dividends far beyond the purely functional. Her insights both as an architect and as her own client give an open and honest account of the thinking behind creating a home.

Piano by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec for Mutina

By Di Lorenzo Tiles

Piano is a collaboration between Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec and Mutina. The combinations of this range are endless. Each piece has varying texture and pattern, and each rectangular size is mixed in the box which allows a natural variation with each layout. One box contains 30 pieces, 40% in 100×300 and 60% in 75×300.

Piano is made in partially glazed porcelain stoneware and is suitable for floors and walls, both indoors and outdoors. The product is sold with rectified edges; we advise a joint of 2mm. Available in 6 colour variations.
