The Life Outside Issue

Introducing the Life Outside issue of Habitus magazine. With life increasingly being absorbed into a digital space, there is never a more important moment to hold something tangible. In this context, the power of nature to have a physiological impact on our sense of wellbeing has never been more important. So how can we cultivate the benefits of the our natural environment in the most intimate of places – our homes? This was the question that helped to bring this issue of Habitus to life.

Rombini, launched by Mutina, and created by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, can be combined to create various pattern and shape configurations, the results being nothing less than amazing.

The triangular wall tile has a 3 dimensional surface and comes in a large and small design that creates a zig-zag, corrugated surface when placed alongside or above one another.

The mosaic, losange, features an inlaid diamond grid pattern and can be grouted in a matching or contrasting grout. Available in sheets, the jagged edge of the losange can slot neatly underneath a wall section of the triangle tiles.

The large square tile, Carre, is a glazed porcelain made from a mould of tiny embossed diamond shapes. It is available in two versions, Uni, where the colour is evenly distributed throughout the whole tile, and Light, where colour is used to outline the tiny white diamonds.
