Introducing the Life Outside issue of Habitus magazine. With life increasingly being absorbed into a digital space, there is never a more important moment to hold something tangible. In this context, the power of nature to have a physiological impact on our sense of wellbeing has never been more important. Wing Lux Chairs

By Apato

Inspired by the beauty and shapes of nature, Sadogawa employs curved, flowing lines and shadows to create a sculptural look and feeling of mass. There are no straight lines in the Wing series, and even the triangular elements— which represent the vitality of nature—are rounded. The Wing chair conjures the image of a graceful bird. The minimalist design aids in the chair’s overall comfort, with subtle curves that fit perfectly to the shape of the body. The backrest, formed using highly advanced equipment technology, creates the compound curvatures rarely available. The solid wood is routed out by a series of successive etchings to carve out the multiple dimensional curves from a single block of wood. Available in a number of finishes, the wing series chairs feature sophisticated yet subtle finger joints, an expressed detail of beauty and strength.
