Living in the Environment Issue

Issue 62 is the first issue of the year and always a great time to put our best foot forward. With Adam Goodrum, the loveliest man in design, as Guest Editor, we draw on his insights as a furniture designer, artist and educator to look at the makers shaping our design world. Sustainability has never been more important, and increasingly this is a consideration from the start with projects designed to address their immediate environment as well as the longevity of the planet. From the coldest winters to the most tropical of summers, addressing how we live in the environment is crucial to creating the perfect home.

Canturi eau de parfum

After 2 years in creative development, the highly anticipated Canturi
eau de parfum, by renowned Australia jewellery designer Stefano Canturi is here.

"Like jewellery, fragrance is the ultimate expression of the wearer’s personality” believes Stefano Canturi.

In 2011 Canturi celebrates 25 years designing jewellery. Deeply inspired by the Cubist art movement a period that saw avant-garde change and experimentalism become the new reality, Canturi pioneered a unique jewellery style, his ‘Cubism’ collection.

Cubism cradles the essence of Canturi Jewels – the exquisite balance between concept and form.

For the first time, Canturi set out to articulate his point of view through a new art form, the creation of a signature scent. Created in New York with perfumer Kevin Verspoor the scent is Canturi’s first artistic expression outside of jewellery design.

Driven by the challenge of creating a scent that would take him back to the creative and innovative mood of the Cubist art movement, Canturi has created a unique fragrance, which captures that iconic period in time.

A modern fusion of the classic Oriental and Chypre perfumes of the Cubist epoch, yet with distinct originality and warmth. It is Canturi in a bottle.

For the bottle, Canturi was inspired by his interlocking, signature ‘Cubism’ style. The iconic round bottle with its woven sleek black lines evokes vitality and style, while the golden juice hints at the luxury within.

The Canturi eau de parfum is available in 100mL $195 and 50mL $135 at Canturi, selected Myer stores and online at myer.com.au
