The 'Future' Issue

Habitus #64 Welcome to the HABITUS ‘Future’ and ‘Habitus House of the Year’ Issue. We are thrilled to have interior designer of excellence, Brahman Perera, as Guest Editor and to celebrate his Sri Lankan heritage through an interview with Palinda Kannangara and his extraordinary Ek Onkar project – divine! Taxidermy by Julia deVille

Designed by:Julia deVilleWhy we love it: The macabre creatures of jeweller Julia deVille are no clever illusion, she uses real animals as the basis for her work – usually donated and always having died of natural causes. While they can seem quite creepy at first, they are actually very beautiful creations, giving the animals a sort of poetic resurrection with the finest jewellery techniques.
