Issue 62 is the first issue of the year and always a great time to put our best foot forward. With Adam Goodrum, the loveliest man in design, as Guest Editor, we draw on his insights as a furniture designer, artist and educator to look at the makers shaping our design world. Sustainability has never been more important, and increasingly this is a consideration from the start with projects designed to address their immediate environment as well as the longevity of the planet. The Jil Sander Group has launched their own smart phone for fashionistas in Europe. Effectively titled, the Jil Sander Mobile, this will not be the last phone dreamed up in the name of fash-tech collaborations. The Jil Sander Mobile is a sleek and clean lined mobile phone and like her luxury garments it offers finely textured surfaces. It is also accented in Sander’s
signature electric Blue.

The phone is equipped with TLG Electronics, runs the latest Windows
smartphone operating system 7.5, and has a 3.8″ touchscreen,
