With Adam Goodrum, the loveliest man in design, as Guest Editor, we draw on his insights as a furniture designer, artist and educator to look at the makers shaping our design world. Jil Sander has designed her own cell phone, with a slick black and blue theme referencing her signature style.


The Jil Sander Group has launched their own smart phone for fashionistas in Europe. Effectively titled, the Jil Sander Mobile, this will not be the last phone dreamed up in the name of fash-tech collaborations. The Jil Sander Mobile is a sleek and clean lined mobile phone and like her luxury garments it offers finely textured surfaces. It is also accented in Sander’s
signature electric Blue.

 

The phone is equipped with TLG Electronics, runs the latest Windows
smartphone operating system 7.5, and has a 3.8″ touchscreen,
5 MP camera, HD video at 720p, WiFi, and a digital compass. But no Jil Sander phone wouldn’t be complete with out special features aimed at the fashion savvy dialler.  That’s where the Jil Sander App comes in, promising users one-of-a-kind experiences with the luxury brand.
