‘Bolton’ from Poliform

Giuseppe Viganò’s 2011 design combines abundant shapes and soft volumes to create clean and essential lines.

A spare yet inviting design, the Bolton features a unique padded backrest that can be raised up while sitting, offering differing back heights that allow for flexible comfort and varying aesthetics.

The structure of the sofa is composed of a base in wood and by-products, a back of flexible moulded polyurethane,  and seat cushions in flexible polyurethane with different densities and springs.

The pre-covering is polyester padding and the final stretched covering is removable in fabric and non removable in eco-leather and leather.

Giuseppe Viganò works across the fields of industrial design and artistic direction, contributing to the design process from initial concept, right through to the realisation of prototypes.

Like all Poliform products ‘Bolton’ is the result of the brand’s continuous research into style, which aims to interpret contemporary living trends and create products relevant to modern lifestyles. Combining the latest manufacturing technology and respect for the time and process of true wood craftsmen with careful selection of high-quality materials, Poliform ensures that its products will stand the test of time by functioning well and guaranteeing maximum quality.
