Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Kitchens and bathrooms are, arguably, the most consequential rooms in the home — and almost always the first to be considered. Whether approached through renovation or new build, their design has the power to recalibrate how a home is lived in and experienced. For this issue, our guest editor, Mardi Doherty, principal of Studio Doherty, explores what it truly means to transform these pivotal spaces — and why thoughtful design in kitchens and bathrooms delivers dividends far beyond the purely functional. Her insights both as an architect and as her own client give an open and honest account of the thinking behind creating a home.

Magellano

By Cattelan Italia

The Magellano design chandelier is a contemporary accessory to complete the living room with an impactful style. Its smooth and irregular shape makes it a distinctive element that stands out in a geometic design living room. This design ceiling lamp consists of a low-edged steel ring, with LED light inside, which illuminates the room evenly. The irregular shaped ring appears to be the result of a handmade process, for which every imperfection is a virtue. This modern chandelier enhances a refined dining table or a contemporary design living room. Furthermore, when placed in pairs, they create unique compositions on different heights. Magellano can also be equipped with a remote control and dimmer.
