We are thrilled to have interior designer of excellence, Brahman Perera, as Guest Editor and to celebrate his Sri Lankan heritage through an interview with Palinda Kannangara and his extraordinary Ek Onkar project – divine! Thinking about the future, we look at the technology shaping our approach to sustainability and the ways traditional materials are enjoying a new-found place in the spotlight. The Marstal chair brings the mood of 1950’s Danish functionalism mood to a timeless design for modern dining rooms.
Combining a walnut veneer with the look of black leather upholstery, the Marstal chair embraces the Danish heritage of BoConcept with a design that has strong ties to the company’s first Architect-drawn piece of furniture in the late fifties by Arne Wahl. The original chair was strongly influenced by the functionalism wave occurring in Danish Furniture at the time.
