Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Kitchens and bathrooms are, arguably, the most consequential rooms in the home — and almost always the first to be considered. Whether approached through renovation or new build, their design has the power to recalibrate how a home is lived in and experienced. For this issue, our guest editor, Mardi Doherty, principal of Studio Doherty, explores what it truly means to transform these pivotal spaces — and why thoughtful design in kitchens and bathrooms delivers dividends far beyond the purely functional. Her insights both as an architect and as her own client give an open and honest account of the thinking behind creating a home.

Shrinking The Form

Great design in small size – Normann Copenhagen has released a miniaturised version of its Form collection.

The release of the miniaturised version of the Form has multiplied the range. Essentially a cute 1:6 scale miniature version of the original chair range, Form Miniature is available with or without armrests, and as a barstool. It comes in six colours with legs in wood.

It’s the small details that make Form a great design, and the miniature chairs are no exception. The range’s central design elements have been effortlessly transferred, giving the miniatures the same integrated expression as the original chairs.

Whether looking for a gift for the design fan, a new collector’s item, or a creative and unique addition to your home or retail furnishings, the Form miniature is a perfect example that you can make a great design impact, even though you are small in size.

Normann Copenhagen is available through Great Dane Furniture and DISCTRICT.
