Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Habitus 63 is arguably the most aspirational issue of the year with Kitchens & Bathrooms to dream about. Whether a family hub, an entertainer’s paradise or somewhere to grad a quick meal, how we live in and spend time in the kitchen is a very personal question that requires thought and an abundance of resources. Always the aspirational eye candy of design, we have some truly lovely kitchens from Greg Natale, YSG, Splinter Society, Sally Caroline and Studio Johnston. Bathrooms are just as important with Greg Natale, Studio Tate, YSG and Those Architects sharing some fabulous insights

A New Day, A New Dawn – At ARRO Home

ARRO’s new collection, New Day New Dawn, is awash with bold colours, decadent velvets and contemporary glamour to bring vibrancy and character to your home.

New Day New Dawn collection from Melbourne label, ARRO, is a fever dream of decadent velvet and bold shapes. The new series is a revamp of ARRO’s classic sofas and rugs, now with an extended offering of motifs and colours.

New Day New Dawn is rich. A clever regeneration of old-world glamour – with need-to-touch velvets and tassels – adapted to sleek, contemporary silhouettes. The collection offers an updated range of sofas, lounges, ottomans and cushions. Coming in solid royal and monochromatic colours, they are designed to be clashed and layered to build the intensity and character of the interior space.

Ottomans join ARRO’s favoured velvet sofas in an assortment of height and width variations. The shape of the curvaceous seating pieces retain an inherently Scandinavian appeal, with linear forms and elegant timber legs. Nine new cushions bind old and new design aesthetics in sugar-coated decorations – the velvet diamond a new standout. Cotton tassels and pompoms also feature heavily, likening cushions to stylish Scottish bonnets.

In New Day New Dawn, ARRO has furthered their collection of rugs with eight new additions. These pieces are designed to work with and juxtapose against the furniture range. Yet, the rugs are not a mere muted ground covering. Instead, texture dominates each design to build the piece up from the ground to become eye-catching three-dimensional features.

ARRO appreciates that furniture will inevitably be packed up and move house – time and time again. Thus it needs to adapt to eternally shifting interior palettes and tastes. New Day New Dawn’s offering of exuberant pieces and colours – and velvets – offers a bold hero piece that can both highlight and work into a lifetime of living spaces.
