Kitchen & Bathroom Issue

Habitus 63 is arguably the most aspirational issue of the year with Kitchens & Bathrooms to dream about. Whether a family hub, an entertainer’s paradise or somewhere to grad a quick meal, how we live in and spend time in the kitchen is a very personal question that requires thought and an abundance of resources. Always the aspirational eye candy of design, we have some truly lovely kitchens from Greg Natale, YSG, Splinter Society, Sally Caroline and Studio Johnston. Bathrooms are just as important with Greg Natale, Studio Tate, YSG and Those Architects sharing some fabulous insights

Outdoor Design Done Right

Australian outdoor furniture house Tait and New Zealand textile house Mokum have come together this Summer to celebrate the southern hemisphere’s latest and greatest in outdoor design.

Channelling late-century nostalgia with warm, dreamy scenes of laissez-faire lounging, the Trace collection sees designer Adam Goodrum’s distinctive style clad in Mokum’s new outdoor design speciality textile range.

The entirety of the Trace outdoor design collection is defined by a refined sense of luxury, alluring forms and sensory details. Designed to match the warmth and relaxation synonymous with the Australian outdoor lifestyle, Trace is contemporary, original and considered, exemplifying both Tait and Goodrum’s design aesthetic, as well as Mokum’s approach to inviting, relaxing colours.

Functional and dripping with contemporary outdoor style, Trace can be seen as an exploration of texture, colour and comfort. With an inspired depth, Goodrum’s fascination with generous forms, woven detail and engagement of materials manifests throughout the collection.

The multi-faceted outdoor design collection incorporates modular lounge settings and accessories, having a unique character that allows a versatility across a range of applications. Trace’s seating and lounge options comprise the Trace Sofa, Trace Armchair and Trace Modular while in perfect accompaniment, the collection further incorporates the Trace Coffee Tables, Trace Drinks Trolley and the future Trace Planter.

Designed with the harsh Australian summer in mind, the collection has been manufactured with high performance in mind, and will retain its quality throughout the hottest heat Australia has to offer. Trace has been designed and developed with expert craftsmanship, employing aluminium, stainless steel mesh, sustainable timbers and marbled porcelain materials, all the while focussing on the comfortable, tactile forms and premium upholstery that belie the collection’s strength,

Tait have launched Trace to suit the outdoor lifestyle of design loving Australians. Design enthusiasts of all levels, from the home design lover to the architects, anyone with an eye for exceptional design and comfort can appreciate this collection in the sun.
